BORG Education

For those of you who are fans of Star Trek the Next Generation there was a race of beings called The BORG. They were a group of beings (a society) who’s sole purpose was to “assimilate” all other people’s and races. Their goal: to totally consume them to become part of their “collective”. No free thought. Only to follow the directive of the leader. The only way to control thought and actions. They told their enemies that “resistance is futile”….fighting Common Core sometimes feels like we are battling The BORG.

The attached paper is my attempt to share my concerns (voiced by others as well) about the ongoing attempt to “assimilate” our children through control of education and in so doing take control of the future.

The paper is long…8 pages…but it takes that long to pull the pieces together. If you like it please feel free to share it and point back to this blog. If you have thoughts, comments or questions please pose them. We all learn together and only progress by communicating and debating.
