Control Education and Control the Future

For the past 40 years the liberal side of the political spectrum as been allowed to control education. Go back to the mid 60’s with President Johnson and you see the beginnings of Federal entry into education. Follow the university protests in the late 60’s and move forward and those who live on the left have slowly and quietly taken control of education. Through their efforts they have slowly molded standards, curriculum, testing and policies to change American society.

“He who control’s the education of children controls the future of a society”.

The mainstream American is moderate to conservative in nature. People like to live their lives quietly, know what to expect, have a solid job, be able to live and love and do so with a sense of security and safety. We often shake our heads at the things going on around us that seem strange and aberrant. We work hard, pay our bills, many have children and do their best to raise and educate them.

When we send our children and grandchildren to school we assume that they will be given a safe environment to learn, will be taught basic skills (‘readin, ‘written and ‘rithmetic) and be offered opportunities to prepare for life. We expect that school boards and superintendents and legislators will do what’s right, reasonable. proven to have value and will be good stewards of money.

Look around you and ask if you really know what’s going on. Are you aware that in our state (Washington) that male/female may now use the opposing sexes restrooms if they “identify” themselves with the opposite sex? Are you aware that in some schools (Seattle) that girls as young as 14 are given birth control without the approval or knowledge of their parents? Are you aware of the free meals and other support? Are you aware of Common Core and High Stakes Testing and the impact on the children?

What do we want schools to do for our children? Do we want social agendas and views pushed on our children? Do we want religious views taught and one over another?

Do you know anything about the ESEA (the replacement for the NCLB – No Child Left Behind)?

Those with conservative values MUST re-engage in education. We MUST run for school boards, hire superintendents with conservative values, contact legislators and talk about education. If we don’t take back control of education from the left our society and America as we know it will change forever. Become involved. Define an effort or action you want to take and then do it.
