NOW once you have seen my last post concerning a school’s reaction to a middle school history project. Here are examples of four books geared for our youth, that may be a shocker for some.
I saw a video about these books being in use in some elementary and middle schools in Washington State, that will stun you for sure. I bought them to see for myself, and I couldn’t believe what I saw.
(All copyright laws have been observed in these book reviews. Quotes are shown as written in each case.)
- The cover has a black baby with raised clutched fists. A direct quote from the book says, “Look at your fists, fingers curled into a panther’s paw pointing up up up reaching for justice”.
- It starts out with “A” “is for Activist. Advocate. Abolitionist. Ally. Actively Answering A call to Action. Are you an Activist?”
Then there are hits like “P” “is for Pea-Pea-Peace march! Pro-Pro-Protest! Pow-Pow-Power to the PEOPLE! Ya!”
And my favorite, “X” ”is for Malcom. As in Malcom X.”
- At the early beginning of the book, is a vailed scenario involving the Police screaming at someone, then BANG BANG BANG! Illustrated with a confused and frightened young one.
Later a quote reads “White supremacy has been lying to kids for centuries.” and another says, “WHITENESS IS A BAD DEAL.” And so on.
- It is 240-page, graphic comic book about a young person confused about their sex, and sexuality. And the journey they take over years, and how they finally find peace.
Honestly folks, my personal opinion on all four books is that they vastly exceed the scope and responsibly of our schools, who are using them to program, or expose youth, to matters that are not up to the schools to provide.
Schools have changed vastly over the ages. Our youth have been robbed by the COVID scare, of the interaction with other kids their age, something that is greatly needed for interaction with other’s later in life.
They are being taught to “inform” on their family, if they chose not to be vaccinated. And they want to grant children 12 and older the right to get the shots at school, without their parent’s knowledge or consent.
When our young ones are at school, they are ridiculed, and humiliated if they don’t wear a mask at recess. They are forced to sit off to one side, and not interact or play with those that do wear a mask.
They have lost the sense of patriotism, or pride in our nation, by the condensing, rewriting, or omission of important history. And are only taught what the schools want them to learn.
I’m not trying to stir stuff up, other than to let folks know what’s happening in schools in other places. And that if you have children in school, you need to look at how your children are being exposed to things you may object to.
I am not anti-school. I believe that schools are needed for all of the basic educational needs as mandated. I think that the social aspects are also developmental skills they can’t learn isolated at home either.
These young people are our hope for our future. And unless they are all given the education they deserve, we will be in a very bad way as time goes on. I don’t believe that politics or idea’s promoting racism, or activism should be presented in schools. How can we present these concepts, while ignoring religion, or patriotism, both which were founding principles of our nation? AND were so important to the founding fathers, to be including in our Constitution, and the Bill of Rights?
But then I’m not sure our youth spend much time learning about either document. IF they hold principles too abstract to be taught our youth, why are naturalized citizens required to learn them?
So, tell me, what do you think? Does any of this make sense, or am I rambling? Let me know your thoughts and feelings.
