Amanda Ronstadt
Elected Experience: Precinct Committee Officer
Other Professional Experience: I utilized my teaching certification
working first at Fort Vancouver HS, then at Hudson’s Bay HS and finally rebuilding
a horticulture and FFA program at Columbia River HS.
Education: B.A. Biology University of Montana, M.S. Plant Science and Secondary Science Teaching Certificate University of Arizona
Community Service: Following my teaching tenure, I continued to engage with the community volunteering for many City of Ridgefield events. I have reliably volunteered in various capacities at Union Ridge Elementary School since my children became Tater Tots. I have also been a volunteer coach with Pacific Soccer Club for six seasons.
Statement: Being appointed to this position has been an incredible honor. Earning your vote would mean even more. With two children in the district, I would like to be directly involved in helping our schools reach their potential for current and future generations of Spudders. Our schools are incredible, and I see a future where
they continue to grow and become even more than the amazing institutions that they already are. Ridgefield echoes many of the same values that I grew up with: being a good neighbor, pulling together to solve problems, seeking to understand one another in order to strengthen our community. I believe I can represent these
values while serving on the school board and help create positive change for our school district. Standing on hundreds of porches across Ridgefield asking the question of how our neighbors feel about the district hasn’t always been easy, but it was and continues to be important work to bridge the connection between our
schools and the community. I am willing to work to find creative solutions with fellow board directors given the opportunity to continue serving as the district 1 director. Thank you.
