Senate passes bill to solve McCleary by guaranteeing $12,500 per student; taxpayers in 245 school districts would get property tax cut

This article was published February 3rd at the Washington Policy Center What do you think? Are you ok with minimal local levy's but money going to the State from new property taxes (with the promise that some people's taxes would go down) and the State then giving the money back to the districts using some formula? What's to prevent the State from giving the money with strings? What if the State demands that all districts do the same things? Heck, why even have 295 districts when they might be expected to be identical?
